Their distinctive double-fin profile uses flexible fins which maintain contact with the door surfaces while keeping opening and closing resistance to a minimum. The seals contribute towards the containment of sound, smoke, draughts and light, with acoustic testing in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2 demonstrating performance of up to Rw 44dB when installed as part of an appropriate doorset. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Manufactured from a co-extruded rigid PVC backing with flexible fins, the Batwing® seal is designed to recover its shape after repeated operation for reliable long term performance.  Installation is straightforward using the self-adhesive backing, making the seals particularly suitable for retrofit applications with minimal disruption to the existing doorset.  Both versions are smoke tested to BS 476-31.1 at ambient temperature, while the LAS1212 also carries test evidence to BS EN 1634-3.
