LORIENT Door Brush Seal 2100mm x 4mm Fire & Smoke (SS)

The Lorient SS Fire & Smoke Brush Seal range is designed to provide combined fire and smoke protection around the perimeter of fire-resisting door assemblies. Manufactured from PVC-encased sodium silicate with an integral polypropylene brush pile, the seal expands when exposed to elevated temperatures to help restrict the passage of fire, while the flexible brush assists in controlling the movement of ambient-temperature smoke. The range comprises the LP1004SS at 10mm x 4mm, LP1504SS at 15mm x 4mm and LP2004SS at 20mm x 4mm, allowing the appropriate seal size to be selected to suit the required door and fire-rating configuration.

Suitable for use on single and double leaf doors, the seals are designed for nominal door gaps between 3mm and 4mm and feature heavy-duty self-adhesive backing tape for straightforward installation into a correctly prepared groove. The range has fire test evidence to BS 476-22 and BS EN 1634-1, together with smoke testing to BS 476-31.1 at ambient temperature, and has achieved durability testing to 100,000 operating cycles. The SS range is available in configurations covering 30 and 60 minute fire applications, although the correct seal size and installation arrangement should always be selected in accordance with the relevant door manufacturer's fire test evidence or certification.
