LORIENT Door Seal 2100mm x 4mm Fire Smoke & Acoustic (DS)

The Lorient DS Fire, Smoke & Acoustic Seal is a high-performance intumescent door seal designed to provide combined protection against fire, smoke and sound leakage in fire-resisting door assemblies. Manufactured from PVC-encased sodium silicate with flexible elastomeric fins, the DS seal combines intumescent fire protection with an effective smoke and acoustic barrier. Its innovative symmetrical design allows the seal to be installed either way around while maintaining the correct positioning of the smoke and acoustic fins, helping to preserve sealing performance around ironmongery and other interruptions in the door edge.

Suitable for single and double leaf doors, these seals measure 2100mm x 4mm and are available in 10mm, 15mm or 20mm widths. Depending on the tested door assembly and seal configuration, the DS range can be used within applications requiring 30, 60, 90 or 120 minutes of fire resistance. The seals are tested for fire performance to BS 476-22 and BS EN 1634-1, smoke leakage to BS 476-31.1 and acoustic performance to BS EN ISO 10140-2. Supplied with heavy-duty self-adhesive backing tape for straightforward installation, the seals are suitable for nominal door gaps between 3mm and 4mm and have also been durability tested to 100,000 cycles.
